Bengaluru: Pushpak Prakash, Founder and Managing Director of Pushpak Aerospace India Private Limited, has been honored with the prestigious Aryabhata International Award 2026.
He received the award in recognition of his significant contributions in the field of “Entrepreneurship and International Relations.” As the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic, Pushpak Prakash has played a key role in strengthening international relations between India, the Czech Republic, and several other countries. His efforts have greatly contributed to enhancing cooperation in industrial, cultural, and trade sectors.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at Ravindra Kalakshetra by retired Justice Rajendra Badamikar and former Additional Director General of Doordarshan, Nadoja Dr. Mahesh Joshi.
Pushpak Prakash has consistently contributed to India’s aerospace and defense manufacturing sectors, particularly in space and strategic projects. This recognition comes as Pushpak Aerospace and Defence celebrates its successful 35th anniversary.
Over the past several decades, the company has contributed to ISRO and defense projects including Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, Aditya-L1, Cartosat, GSAT, and IRNSS missions. The company has also played a significant role in the PSLV, GSLV, and LVM3 (Mark-3) launch vehicle programs. It is also contributing to India’s ambitious upcoming Gaganyaan mission. Pushpak has been honored multiple times by ISRO for its contributions to nation-building space projects.
Speaking after receiving the award, Pushpak Prakash said that the recognition has motivated him to serve the aerospace, defense, and space sectors with even greater dedication, innovation, and quality. He added that Bengaluru is one of the world’s leading cities, and he would continue striving to enhance the prestige of Bengaluru and Karnataka.
