Muragoda: Marakumbi: On 07.01.2026, at around 01.30 am, a boiling sugarcane milk exploded in the juice boiling house at Inamhar Sugars Factory in Marakumbi village under Muragoda police station limits of Ramadurga subdivision of Belagavi district, seriously injuring eight workers. They were admitted to the Bailhongal Government Hospital for first aid and were undergoing treatment, when one worker and two others died at KLE Hospital, Belagavi. The remaining 05 people were given first aid and admitted to KLE Hospital, Belagavi for further treatment. The Superintendent of Police, Belagavi visited KLE Hospital and inquired about the well-being of the injured. DSP Ramadurga and PI Muragoda visited the spot and conducted an investigation.
