Bengaluru, Oct 28: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today called upon the police not to compromise on self confidence and duty.
Speaking at a function in Vidhana Soudha organized to distribute new peak caps to the police personnel, he said, “The society and the government has a lot of faith in the police as they are the protectors. Some police personnel had worn saffron dress in Udupi and Vijayanagarj. If you compromise your ideals because of political pressures or some other pressure, the department will lose its trust.”
“Cyber crime has increased in the city. The police must keep the record of house help, drivers and security personnel in order to stop crimes,” he said.
“We have taken this historic decision to boost the self confidence of the police. The peak caps will boost the confidence of the personnel. The police department of the state is doing a good job,” he added.
“Prarameshwara has given a new lease of life to the department. Many new schemes have been introduced for the police personnel for their welfare. I would like the police department to submit a report on easing traffic in the city,” he said.
