Narayan Guru’s life was about making a true human being: K.V. Prabhakar

  • Bangalore, 23:
Chief Minister’s Media Adviser K.V. Prabhakar said that Narayan Guru’s ideals work when honor killing of secularism is taking place. In a program of the Karnataka Backward Classes Recognized Editors and Reporters Association, he presented the Narayan Guru Award to five people and felicitated five achievers. At a time when the caste system is getting stronger day by day and secularism is doing honor killing, he asked us to remember that Narayan Guru’s life was about making a true human being. Narayan Guru tried to give a natural cure for the thought of exploitation, the thought of being exploited and the thought of slavery. He said that his teachings and reform work have been a beacon of light for many social problems of the past and today. His famous slogan was “One Race, One Religion, One God for Man”. Similarly, his main slogan was freedom through education. Today, all those who are wasting their lives in the name of religion in coastal and hilly districts are children of Billava, Elava, Idiga and Besta communities. They need Narayan Guru’s life lesson to be explained to them. However, it is sad that Narayan Guru’s words have started to erase his ideals and use only words in a wrong way.
The Guru’s slogan of “One race, one religion, one God for man” did not mean that everyone built a temple in the name of Narayan Guru. The slogan was that instead of struggling to gain entry to those temples, build your own temple where entry is not available.
When Narayan Guru installed Shiva, the Guru responded coldly to the opposition of the casteists by saying, “It is not your Shiva, but the Shiva of Elas.” Later, when everyone started building a temple, the scared Guru finally built a temple and placed a mirror in place of Shiva to convey the message that God is inside you, there is no need to look outside. Building a temple and appointing priests from lower castes was another revolution of Narayan Guru. However, he said, the question needs to be raised as to how many backward people today call priests of lower castes and trust them. Behind Narayan Guru’s call for freedom through education, he meant school education as well as social education, so as to get rid of the exploitative, oppressed and enslaving mentality. If ideals are erased and only words are accepted, then it leads to misunderstandings and behavior. Ambedkar and Narayan Guru supported reservation as part of creating a secular society. But today the reservation movement is being run as part of casteism. Reservation for all castes, internal reservation is required. Therefore, he lamented that today the struggle for reservation is part of strengthening the caste society. Honorable Chief Minister Siddaramaiah always says one thing. He said, “It is often said that only educated people are becoming more and more racist. Due to all these reasons, secularism is being eradicated in a systematic manner today. हुम एक खक्ध सुक्षा अवर पुलिटिक हैलाट रहे है है है है, जान जाती के लोगों से जाटी के लोगों से अच्य देखा जाटी के से भूर्ण सुच्चायू Therefore, he said, we need to strengthen the ideals of Narayan Guru by practicing religious tolerance and brotherhood in the world. His great view was that religion, whatever it may be, is sufficient to make man better. He said that we should not forget that the message of Narayan Guru’s life was to make a true human being free from all discrimination.
