Chief Minister to Confer ‘Samyama Awards’ on March 31 in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: The Karnataka State Temperance Board (Karnataka Rajya Madyapana Samyama Mandali) will host the prestigious ‘Samyama Award’ presentation ceremony for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025 on Tuesday, March 31.

The event is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM at the Mahadeva Desai Auditorium, Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will present the awards to the distinguished recipients, while Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will grace the occasion with his presence.

The Awardees:
The Board has selected three eminent personalities for their contributions to social welfare and public policy:

  • 2023 Award: Shri D.R. Patil, Vice-President, Karnataka State Decentralization Planning and Development Committee.
  • 2024 Award: Shri B.R. Patil, Vice-President, Karnataka State Policy and Planning Commission.
  • 2025 Award: Nadoja Dr. Wooday P. Krishna, President, Karnataka Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi.

The ceremony will be presided over by Rizwan Arshad, MLA (Shivajinagar). Several high-profile dignitaries, including Cabinet Ministers H.K. Patil, Priyank Kharge, Sharanabasappa Darshanapur, Sharanprakash R. Patil, and N.S. Boseraju, are expected to attend as chief guests.

Additionally, K.V. Prabhakar (Media Advisor to the CM), P.C. Mohan (Member of Parliament), and senior officials including B.B. Cauvery (Secretary, Information & Public Relations) and Hemant Nimbalkar (Commissioner, Information & Public Relations) will be present.

Sharanappa Saladapur, Chairman of the Karnataka State Temperance Board, will deliver the introductory remarks. The event aims to recognize leadership in promoting a healthy, addiction-free society
