Devara Hipparagi: The 7th Annual Ganesh Festival Procession and Grand Hindu Unity Convention, organised by the Hindu Mahamandali at Korawar village in Devara Hipparagi Assembly Constituency of Vijayapura district, was held with great devotion, enthusiasm and participation from thousands of devotees.
During the programme, BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yadiyapur was felicitated by the organising committee with a shawl and memento in recognition of his contributions.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Basanagouda Patil Yadiyapur said that Ganesh festivals, religious processions and Hindu Unity conventions play a vital role in strengthening social harmony, preserving India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, and inspiring the younger generation to uphold the nation’s traditions and values. He appreciated the efforts of the organisers in conducting such a grand event and urged that similar programmes be organised every year on an even larger scale.

The programme was graced by the divine presence of His Holiness Sri Jagadeva Malli Bhammayya Swamiji of Alamel Sri Virakta Math and His Holiness Sri Murughendra Swamiji of Korawar Sri Chouki Math.
Among the dignitaries present on the dais were former Union Minister and Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, Devara Hipparagi MLA Rajugouda B. Patil, senior advocate Subhash S. Chayagol, former BJP District President R. S. Patil Kuchbal, former Zilla Panchayat Vice-President Prabhugouda C. Desai, Dr. Basanagouda S. Patil (Nagaral Huli), former Zilla Panchayat Member Siddu Bulla, along with several public representatives, community leaders and hundreds of party workers.
The colourful procession featured traditional folk performances, devotional music, cultural programmes and enthusiastic participation by thousands of devotees, making the event a grand celebration of faith, unity and cultural pride.
The programme concluded with prayers seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha and Sri Korawar Hanuman for peace, prosperity, happiness and well-being of the people and the nation.
