Bengaluru, October 16: Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge, in a post on his X account, launched a sharp attack on Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, accusing him of creating unnecessary controversies and questioning what he described as political double standards.
In his post, Kharge wrote, “Kumar Anna is upset again because I said Congress and CJP want to clean up the Election Commission. With the PM sidelining ministers, inventing controversies is their only job!”
Kharge further claimed that Kumaraswamy wanted him to vacate his elected position while members of the latter’s family continued to hold multiple public offices.
“He wants me to vacate my seat, while eight of his family members hold theirs. My one seat is a sin. Their eight are a birthright?” Kharge said in his X post.
The remarks were made through Kharge’s official X account and come amid an ongoing political exchange between the two leaders over issues related to the Election Commission and governance.
