Bengaluru, November 4: The Karnataka Government has initiated efforts to develop a unified branding strategy for beneficiary-oriented welfare schemes being implemented by various departments, with the objective of creating greater public awareness and ensuring that government initiatives reach eligible beneficiaries more effectively.
A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Dr. Shalini Rajneesh was held at Vidhana Soudha on Thursday to discuss a comprehensive action plan for adopting a common branding framework for government welfare programmes.
During the meeting, senior officials deliberated on measures to standardise the communication and visual identity of beneficiary-oriented schemes across departments. The discussions focused on improving public outreach, enhancing awareness about government initiatives, and ensuring that citizens receive clear, consistent, and accessible information regarding welfare programmes.

The meeting also reviewed strategies to strengthen coordination among departments and leverage multiple communication platforms, including digital media, social media, print media, and public awareness campaigns, to maximise the reach and impact of government schemes across both urban and rural areas.
Officials emphasised the need for a unified communication approach that would reinforce the government’s identity, simplify access to information for beneficiaries, and improve the overall effectiveness of public service delivery.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Uma Mahadevan, Principal Secretary, Department of Public Services Harsh Gupta, and senior officials from various government departments, who shared their views on the implementation of the proposed unified branding strategy and public communication framework.
