Lingasugur: A new history has been created today with the start of bus service for the first time in Devaragaddi village in Hunasagi taluk of Yadgir district, which had not seen transport connectivity even after seven decades of independence. As a result of the continuous struggle of the Farmers’ Association and the State Tribal Protection Committee, the long-standing demand of the villagers has been fulfilled.

The reward for the joint struggle:
Farmers’ Association President Gaddeppa Nagabenal, social activist STPC State President Amareshanna Kamanakeri, Raichur District Farmers’ Association President Shivaputragowda Nandihal and office bearers of the State Tribal Protection Committee had continuously demanded that transport facilities be provided to this village, which has a large number of ST (tribal) community people. The Transport Department, yielding to this organized struggle, has started bus service.
