CM extends Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami greetings to the people of the state”

Bengaluru, Oct 20:
“Everyone must come together to resolve the problems of sugarcane growers, including the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This is not just one person’s responsibility; it is everyone’s responsibility. I do not wish to put the entire burden on a single individual,” said CM D.K. Shivakumar.

He was responding to the media near his residence in Sadashivanagar on Tuesday.
“If farmers grow sugarcane, factories will run. At the same time, factories must crush sugarcane without incurring losses. Only then will both survive. This is a matter of everyone’s livelihood. We need to collectively discuss the issues concerning farmers, sugar factories, and the government,” he said.

“I have sought time from the Central Government to discuss the drought relief issue, but the appointment has not been fixed yet. I have informed elected representatives about discussing sugarcane growers’ problems. I need to speak separately with sugar factory owners and farmers. I will also speak with Central Ministers; they too have done good work to the best of their ability. This issue needs to be resolved with peace and harmony,” he stated.

“A date suitable for everyone will be fixed to conduct the meeting. I have given my word to the farmers in Belagavi. Central Ministers, MPs, and local ministers from that region will be invited,” he added.

Ministers told to prepare for local body elections

When asked about his meeting with ministers on Monday, he said, “Local body elections are coming up. The Election Commission will also release a new voters’ list on the 27th. There is a Supreme Court directive regarding local body elections by December 31. Shouldn’t we make preparations in Bengaluru city? The Election Commission may announce elections at any time. Hence, I have instructed the ministers to prepare for the polls.”

“During the Cabinet meeting held in Mangaluru, it was decided to release funds to resolve road and drinking water issues at the Panchayat level. Therefore, I have asked MLAs to submit a report for funding, and I also called to wish them for the festival. Regarding funds for Bengaluru, I have called and spoken with the local MLAs,” he explained.

Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami greetings to all the people of the state

On this occasion CM extended warm greetings to all the people of the state on Ayudha Puja. “May good fortune come to the people of the land. Prayers have been offered to the tools and implements of farmers, laborers, and the working class. Worship has been performed for both government and private vehicles. I pray that Goddess Chamundeshwari’s blessings grant everyone a comfortable and safe journey,” he wished.
