Bengaluru, Jan 15: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today said there was nothing new in meeting Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking to reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence, he said, “When I go to Delhi tomorrow, I will meet all the leaders.” He was replying to a question if he would meet Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.
Asked about his followers being happy after his meeting with Rahul Gandhi, he said, “He is our party’s leader. It is natural to meet or call leaders of our party. But we don’t discuss those things in public.”
Asked if he would discuss the aspirations of leaders close to him, he quipped, “I will present your (media) desires also before him.”
No point in interpreting my tweet differently
“The media is interpreting my tweet on prayers not going wasted even if efforts do differently. I have been saying this in view of Courts ruling in our favour with respect to Cauvery Aarti and Mekedatu. There is no point in interpreting it differently.”
