Police harassed me for giving information about illegal Bangladeshis, doctor attempts suicide in front of Vidhana Soudha

Date:

Bengaluru, Jan. 24-A doctor has attempted suicide by consuming poison in front of Vidhana Soudha, alleging that the police would harass me and my family if I gave information about illegal Bangladeshis.

The doctor who attempted suicide has been identified as Dr. Nagendrappa, a resident of Sanjayanagar.

The police present at the spot snatched the bottle of poison from Nagendrappa, who had suddenly tried to drink poison in front of Vidhana Soudha, and immediately admitted him to Bowring Hospital.

Before drinking the poison, Nagendrappa used to collect information about illegal Bangladeshis living in the city and give it to the police. For this reason, the police themselves started harassing me. More than 15 to 20 policemen used to come to my house door every day and harass me.

I was also attacked for the same reason. Nagendrappa was also accused of torturing my family and was about to consume poison. It was my fault that I started fighting to evict illegal residents..! Nagendrappa was about to consume poison while shedding tears, said those present at the scene.
