58 Students Qualify in NEET 2026; Sri Uma Maheshwari PU College Eyes 24 Government MBBS Seats

LINGASUGUR | July 19 : Sri Uma Maheshwari Pre-University College, Lingasugur, has delivered an impressive performance in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2026, with 58 students qualifying in one of India’s most competitive medical entrance examinations.

Leading the institution’s merit list is Shivukumar M, who secured 573 out of 720 marks. The college also recorded a strong overall performance, with 44 students scoring above 400 marks, reflecting consistent academic excellence.

Among the top achievers are Ravi Emmi (554), Manjunath Shivappa (548), Ajay Rathod (527), Srikanth Basavaraja (526) and Amar Bannikoppa (522), further strengthening the institution’s reputation for producing successful NEET aspirants.

Speaking to the media, Vinayakumar Ganachari, Secretary of the institution, said that the college expects more than 24 students to secure Government MBBS seats during the ongoing counselling process.

“The outstanding performance is the result of disciplined preparation, experienced faculty, regular assessments and the dedication shown by our students throughout the academic year,” he said.

The college management, under the leadership of President Sharanabasava Ganachari, congratulated the successful candidates and credited the achievement to the institution’s student-focused academic approach and intensive NEET coaching programme.

Principal G. V. Suresh and NEET Coordinator Sangayya Sindigimath praised the students for their perseverance and commitment, while appreciating the efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff in mentoring the aspirants.

The remarkable results have further reinforced Sri Uma Maheshwari Pre-University College, Lingasugur, as one of the leading NEET coaching institutions in the Kalyana Karnataka region, with the college expressing confidence in producing an even higher number of medical admissions in the coming years.
