Bengaluru, May 30: D K Shivakumar, who has been elected as the new leader of the Congress Legislature Party, will be sworn in on June 3.
Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot will administer the oath of office to D K Shivakumar and his team at a ceremony to be held at 4.05 pm at Lok Bhavan.
After the election as the new leader at the Congress Legislature Party meeting at Vidhana Soudha, D K Shivakumar proceeded directly to Raj Bhavan and submitted a letter to the Governor seeking time for the swearing in.
In response, the Governor issued a letter of permission for Shivakumar and his probable Cabinet members to be sworn in.
